Job Description: A leading Oil and Gas Services Company based in Aberdeen are currently seeking a 3rd line technical support consultant to join an existing project team.

MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Administration of VMWARE ESX with vSphere Management environment;
Administration of Citrix presentation 4.x servers;
Administration of Active Directory and Group Policies;
Administration of Microsoft File Clusters; Administration of McAfee Antivirus / EPO;
Administration of SMS/SCCM and WSUS; Participating in the creation of Operational and Support documentation;
Fault diagnosis and fault resolution;
Provide 3rd line support for the IT operations team; Provide technical support to colleagues via training/coaching where applicable;

Qualifications to include: MCSE, MCTS or MCITP qualification essential.
Technical (including IT): SMS & SCCM2007; Windows Server 2003/2008 & Active Directory; Mcafee EPO; WSUS; VMWARE vSphere.

Experience: In-depth knowledge and experience of administering the ESX platform itself - storage/network configuration, automated builds, Scripting, performance analysis, troubleshooting. Working with SAN, NFS, Fibre (EMC Preferable)
Extensive experience in Microsoft OS XP/Windows7 and Windows Server 2003/2008.
Extensive experience working with VMWARE ESX 4.x
Experience working in a delivery-based working environment.
Hyper-V desirable MS SQL 2000. 2005 & 2008
desirable; SourceOne EMC V6+ desirable; Maximo desirable; Lotus Notes / Domino Adminsitartion 7.x Commvault desirable.
